Project Management Philosophies and Strategies

The management of construction projects requires knowledge of modern management as well as an understanding of the design and construction process. Electrical projects have a specific set of objectives and constraints such as a required time frame for completion. Electrical Management Systems project management is distinguished from others by accomplishing the mission – oriented nature of a project. Our mission is client satisfaction. Electrical Management Systems project management procedure consist of directing and coordinating human and material resources throughout the life of a project by using modern management techniques to achieve predetermined objectives of scope, cost, time, quality, and client satisfaction. The two modern management techniques that Electrical Management Systems utilizes were developed for general management that we adapted for our project management procedure. The basic ingredients for our project management framework are represented schematically in Figure 2 – 1. A working knowledge of general management and familiarity with the special electrical knowledge are indispensable to our process.

Cost Control

Electrical Management Systems cost savings strategies of projects are shaped by the strategic pre planning of a project. We utilize our expertise in providing design services with valued engineering in the per project planning stage. We can offer cost sav ing electrical installation methods to stay within a clients budget while keeping the functionality of a project intact.

In order to gain time, some are willing to forego thorough planning and feasibility study so as to proceed on a project with inadequat e project scope. Invariably, changes in project scope will increase construction costs. The client holds the key to influence the construction costs of a project because any decision made at the beginning stage of a project life cycle has far greater influ ence than those made at later stages, as shown schematically in Figure 2 – 3. Moreover, the design and construction decisions will influence the continuing operating costs and, in many cases, the revenues over the project lifetime.

We, at Electrical Managem ent Systems, understand landfill applications and are uniquely qualified to assist in pre project planning to achieve the best possible long term operational outcome.
